Some call this the "golden age of reading." Others worry that e-books will mean the loss of more bookstores and reduce the  need for libraries. At the February 9 City Club meeting, get a glimpse at the future of the written word with Mary Braun (OSU Press), Jack Wolcott (Grassroots Books) and Bonnie Brzozowski (Corvallis-Benton County Public Library). Find out how technology is affecting access to written work, how books facilitate community and how your reading preferences may cut or boost comprehension.

The meeting is free and open to the public. It will run from 12 noon to 1:00 pm in the Les Schwab Gym at the Boys & Girls Club, 1112 NW Circle Ave. in Corvallis. Reservations for lunch are now closed.
