HEADS UP EVERYONE!! HJM 4 (which is a logical extension of our HJM 6, passed
by the 2013 Oregon legislature) is about to be considered in the Rules
Committee next week on Wednesday, April 1, 3:00 pm, in Room 50 in the
Capital Building. Dan Rayfield needs to hear from you ASAP if you support
this bill (503-986-1416). The bill applies to Congress for an Article V
constitutional convention for the specific and exclusive purpose of passing
an amendment consistent with the principles that corporations are not people
and money is not speech. The bill is sponsored by Oregon Move to Amend. Here
is the link to the bill:
https://olis.leg.state.or.us/liz/2015R1/Downloads/MeasureDocument/HJM4/Intro
duced.

If you support this bill and live in his district, please call Rep. Dan
Rayfield, 503-986-1416, or e-mail rep.dan...@state.or.us ASAP!!
FYI, there is a competing bill that also applies for a Constitutional
amendment (HJM 2), but which is much weaker - like milktoast. The
organization sponsoring that bill has NOT been willing to work with Oregon
Move to Amend to compose a compromise bill.
We will be organizing car pools to head to Salem on Wednesday for the
meeting. More on that soon. Thank you!
