July 4th parade plans, next meeting time, minutes

Friends,

The steering committee is planning to march in the July 4 parade this Saturday. We invite everyone to join us at the Central Park Gazebo at 9:30 to get organized. Banners, signs, and costumes encouraged, but we will need some help carrying the two-three banners that we plan on. We have received word that Uncle Sam will make an appearance, too!

Our June meeting of the Steering Committee is planned for June 10 at 7:00 pm at the home of Karen Josephson: 3025 Morris Avenue, Corvallis. These monthly meetings are always open to all CAMTA supporters.

I am attaching the minutes from our May steering committee meeting, so that all can keep up with what we are working on. Again, if you are interested in attending any of our meetings, please do. <<...>>

Thanks very much for these excellent minutes, Karen and Rachel.

Just one minor revision...the caucuses such as "labor," "art," etc. are being organized by the MTA national office, not the affiliates, although there will be significant participation by affiliate members.

I don't see a need to send a corrected copy to these lists. Not that significant change, IMHO.

Thanks again. See everyone Saturday morning to welcome Uncle Sam to Corvallis.
