Hello CAMTA friends,
Our meeting this week will again be held at the home of Karen Josephson and
Peter Stoel at 7:00 p.m. (3025 SW Morris Ave., Corvallis). Here is a quick
update from the Corvallis Area Move to Amend Steering Committee. You are
always invited and welcome to attend our meetings.

Corvallis Focus
Build Awareness, Solidarity and Synergy:
* Make presentations to other groups
* Get their endorsement
* Co-sponsor events together - both groups benefit
The Statewide Ballot Initiative for 2016
* In the appeal process with Secretary of State (regarding the
constitutionality of our ballot Initiative)
* It's unknown how long this process will take and when we would be
able to move to the next step - could be a year
Statewide Success
* Oregon Unitarian Universalist Voices for Justice has voted to work
for our MTA goals this year
* A committee is organized to bring OR Unitarian Universalists on
board with our work
* On a national level a UU MTA group is working to build a coalition
with other faiths (see Facebook "Move to Amend - Unitarian Universalists",
and Move to Amend - Interfaith Caucus).
