Climate Action Plan Task Force to hold 2nd public input forum November 12th.

The Climate Action Plan Task Force (CAPTF) invites the public to attend the 2nd “Corvallis Climate Action Plan: Public Input and Information Forum,” which will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. On Wednesday November 12th, in the main meeting room of the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, 645 N.W. Monroe Ave.

Topics areas up for discussion will be, land use & transportation, urban natural resources and buildings & energy.

The Climate Action Plan Task Force (CAPTF) is a group of civic volunteers interested in developing a climate action plan for the Corvallis community. The CAPTF is encouraging the Corvallis City Council to follow up the community greenhouse gas inventory that the City completed in 2014 with a climate action plan that sets significant greenhouse gas reduction goals and identifies strategies and actions to move the City toward those goals.

This special community conversation is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters, Corvallis Sustainability Coalition, 350Corvallis, the Marys Peak Group of the Sierra Club, and the First United Methodist Church Natural Step Ministry.
