So here's a few things so far I've noticed:
Events->Browse
* The text in green is hard to see and probably should be a part of
the semi-transparent background so it can be readable
* The semi-transparent box overlaps the right pane a bit (might be
because i'm on my netbook but it shouldn't do that)
Events->Add an event
* " Type the name of a venue to search. If it doesn't exist, we'll
create it for you." is really hard to read
Events->Import
* The text at the bottom is hard to read (like above)
Venues->Browse
* The box should probably fill up so that the map isn't all by itself
Venues->Add
* All the grey text is hard to read
I think that covers most of the things that struck me first. Overall I
like the basic design. I'm not so sure about the blurry background as
it seems a little behind the times in terms of web design. I'd really
prefer just to have a basic color background for that but the header
image is amazing! I was also considering making the font name up at
the top larger and maybe have a small tagline included with it.
Feel free to pass this around to people you think could give more
feedback. The next step is finding input sources so that we don't have
to manually add events all the time. I was hoping to maybe use YQL to
import stuff that wasn't in a normal format that calagator understands
but that will take some coding work.
Once we work out a few more kinks I'll open the site up some more.
Thanks again for all your hard work Juilian!
