So we have the site up and running but behind a password until we work
out the various kinks. Feel free to check it out at
http://corvalligator.org. The username/password is both corvalligator.
Please send feedback!

So here's a few things so far I've noticed:

Events->Browse

* The text in green is hard to see and probably should be a part of
the semi-transparent background so it can be readable
* The semi-transparent box overlaps the right pane a bit (might be
because i'm on my netbook but it shouldn't do that)

Events->Add an event

* " Type the name of a venue to search. If it doesn't exist, we'll
create it for you." is really hard to read

Events->Import

* The text at the bottom is hard to read (like above)

Venues->Browse

* The box should probably fill up so that the map isn't all by itself

Venues->Add

* All the grey text is hard to read

I think that covers most of the things that struck me first. Overall I
like the basic design. I'm not so sure about the blurry background as
it seems a little behind the times in terms of web design. I'd really
prefer just to have a basic color background for that but the header
image is amazing! I was also considering making the font name up at
the top larger and maybe have a small tagline included with it.

Feel free to pass this around to people you think could give more
feedback. The next step is finding input sources so that we don't have
to manually add events all the time. I was hoping to maybe use YQL to
import stuff that wasn't in a normal format that calagator understands
but that will take some coding work.

Once we work out a few more kinks I'll open the site up some more.
Thanks again for all your hard work Juilian!

The green text that is hard to read occurs because of inconsistencies
in the views, I just need to create a set of views with a standard
html hierarchy (this might want to be integrated into the main
calagator branch to make theming it easier and more predictable
without needing to look through each view's html).

Grey text is a piece of cake to change.

Lance, could you send me a screen shot of the overlapping
transparencies? I'd also like to know what OS and browser you're using
along with their versions. Hopefully I'll be able to tell your screen
resolution from the screen shot. It shows up fine on my netbook, I'd
like to know what the difference is. I have an idea of what is causing
it and how to change the css, but I want to be sure.

When I have about two hours of time to dedicate to this project I'll
have the above taken care of.
