Cortex going up for CNCF as sandbox project

Hello all

Cortex, the horizontally-scalable, multi-tenant Prometheus "re-implementation" from Weaveworks (https://github.com/weaveworks/cortex) is being proposed for acceptance in to the CNCF sandbox:

Chris (from the CNCF) suggested that it would be good to have some input from the Prometheus community during the decision; the initial presentation to the TOC is on June 5th, meeting details at in github.com/cncf/toc.  If anyone is interested then please attend!
