When I notice that there has been no activity on this listserve, I'm
feeling very scared that the possibilities for forming a new community
center are not good and that perhaps we need to move on to figuring
out how to get Debi off the hook for our previous misadventures. I
hope this is not the case and that Jessi's issues with her computer
are the reason for the silence on this list. I would be greatly
relieved if someone in the small committee would post a progress
report.

Cheers!
William

I too have noticed the lack of communication. I did notice that the Vox Pop sign has been removed from the building. Is that a sign that the landlord is moving on?

The quiet before the storm...whatever that will be.  I feel good about it.  We put some good energy into motion in those meetings, and there is much more potential energy surrounding that corner.

Greetings all

Sorry for the silence. My hard drive crashed last week, and i lost all of my documents, so we had to basically start form square one on writing the proposal. Susan, Kyle, my mom and i have met a couple times now, and have made much progress in conversations. We are meeting again early next week, during which we will draft and send out an up-to-date bulletin of where we are, and what our next steps will be.
I have heard that the Vox Pop sign has come down from the building. This is not a bad thing. Like William said, it means the space is getting ready to move forward. Because of a miscommunication about how many people had a set of Vox Pop's keys, Aaron changed the locks to keep the space safe. He will be giving us the new keys next week, and when we get them, i am going to need as many volunteers as i can get to help clean up the space. There is much work to do, and this is the opportunity many of you have been waiting for- a time where we need lots of man power, and the more people we get, the quicker it can get done. Once we get the space cleared out, we can really start assessing the cost of construction and repairs.
If you are interested, please write me a message saying so, and i can send out more info when i get definitive dates.
Thanks for all your continued support. Hope to see you all soon :)

Hi Jessi,

You can count me in too.

Looking forward to take a look at the proposal and the up-to-date
bulletin.

Pablo.
