The No-rs: The Devaluing of Voice in College Writing Centers (Poetry)

Having worked in college writing centers for some time, it becomes almost habit to "correct" the voice of student writers during their writing process. In these situations, a hierarchy between a writer's expression and individuality, and the demands of writing conventions emerges, with the student's voice more often than not deemed lesser than. "The No-rs" is  collection of three poems about student voices and the handling of said voices within the space of college writing centers.
