The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has recently issued a Circular - A.P. (DIR Series) Circular No. 40 on February 01, 2016 announcing mandatory filing of form Advance Reporting Form (ARF), FC-GPR and FC-TRS on e-Biz platform and discontinuation of physical filing from February 8, 2016. The Circular issued on February 01, 2016 mandates only e-filing and discontinuation of physical filing w.e.f February 8, 2016 and the mandatory e-filing extends to Forms FC-GPR, ARF and FC-TRS.
With firm belief on the above quotation and in my desire of continuation of professional dissemination of information and sharing of knowledge, now I have taken up the above flaming subject, “E-FILING FOR FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT (FDI) UNDER NEW REGIME”, to highlight the changes introduced recently under FEMA for the better understanding of the readers.
It is a hot topic in all professional forums and corporate circles for discussions and deliberations with lot of concerns and apprehensions as to how to deal with this new E-FILING situation under FEMA since now all Companies are settled well in physical filing under FEMA.
In the present article, I have given an attempt to come out with a write up covering procedure involved in e-filing under FDI to enable the readers to acquaint themselves with the changes and challenges ahead and also provide a brief about the forms which are mandated to be e-filed.
