Locations: New York, NY (Hybrid Onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months Contract



Note: Candidate needs to be in the office 3-4 Days every week. Local or
candidates from adjacent states only.



Job Description:

Install, configure, and maintain Apache Solr clusters across
multiple environments.
Manage Solr cores, collections, schemas, and configurations to
ensure optimal search performance.
Monitor Solr clusters for availability, scalability, indexing
throughput, and query latency.
Perform capacity planning, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery
(DR) testing for Solr infrastructure.
Troubleshoot issues related to indexing pipelines, query
performance, replication, and cluster stability.
Implement security best practices, including authentication,
authorization, and access control.
Apply patches, upgrades, and hotfixes while minimizing downtime and
ensuring cluster reliability.
Work closely with development and operations teams to support
integration of Solr with APIs, applications, and data pipelines.
Automate administrative tasks through scripts and monitoring tools
to improve efficiency.
Maintain detailed documentation for Solr environments, including
configuration changes, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.



Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and manage Elasticsearch clusters and nodes.
Monitor Elasticsearch performance and availability using tools like
Kibana, Grafana, or Prometheus.
Implement security policies including authentication, authorization,
TLS, and audit logging.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cluster health, node
communication, and indexing.



Required Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with Elasticsearch (v7.x and above).
Experience with Kibana, Beats, and Logstash (ELK stack).
Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Shell.
Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)."
