Job Title: Windows Engineer With Linux
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Location: Irving, TX (Onsite)

Introduction:
We are seeking a highly skilled Windows Engineer with strong Linux expertise to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Windows and Linux-based systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability across the infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support Windows Server environments (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022).
  • Administer and support Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, etc.) in a hybrid environment.
  • Perform system installations, configurations, upgrades, and patch management.
  • Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and implement necessary optimizations.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, network, and security teams to maintain system integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues related to both Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Implemented and managed virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
  • Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP).
  • Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and shell scripting.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or CompTIA Linux+ are advantageous.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, firewall configurations, and VPNs.
