Title : MES Functional Consultant

Location : Plano TX

Competencies: 8+ years experience required

Role Description:

• Serve as the functional expert for MES solutions.

• Lead MES requirement gathering workshops with manufacturing, quality, and operations stakeholders.

• Translate business and manufacturing requirements into clear MES functional specifications.

• Validate MES design to ensure alignment with standard manufacturing processes and best practices.

• Understand existing MES solutions and demo them to new plants, sectors, and businesses; identify gaps and propose solutions.

• Provide functional expertise in Proficy MES, including configuration and deployment.

• Support key Proficy MES functions such as production execution and work-order management, material consumption and genealogy, and performance analysis.

• Guide configuration of unit procedures, operations, data collection, and workflows in Proficy MES.

• Define test strategies, write user-acceptance test cases, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for MES deployments.

• Review defects, prioritize issues by severity, and ensure timely resolution.

• Support production issues, root-cause analysis, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
