Role Overview : We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Workday Absence and Time Tracking modules. You will act as a strategic advisor to leadership, translating complex business priorities into scalable HR technology solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–6 years of hands-on experience in Workday Time Tracking & Absence Management.
  • Workday Expertise: Strong mastery of the Workday Business Process Framework and Data Model.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple high-touch projects, drive AOP planning, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical troubleshooting skills and the ability to coach/mentor managers and junior HR professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Configuration:

  • Implementation: Lead the end-to-end configuration of Workday Absence (leave of absence, accruals, time-off plans) and Time Tracking (work schedules, time entry, calculations, and approvals).
  • System Optimization: Design and maintain functional documentation, translate business requirements into system configurations, and manage security roles/reporting.
  • SME Guidance: Serve as the primary point of contact for best practices, staying updated on Workday features to recommend process improvements.
  • Testing & Quality: Conduct rigorous system testing, resolve defects, and partner with integration teams to troubleshoot cross-functional issues.

Strategic HR & Talent Management:

  • Talent Agenda: Partner with senior leadership to drive succession planning, talent development, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Performance Analytics: Analyze KPIs and Employee Opinion Survey results to co-create action plans that enhance engagement and productivity.
  • Process Innovation: Proactively introduce automation and innovative HR practices to increase efficiency and position HR as a "profit center."
  • Agile Transformation: Promote iterative project cycles and agile values to ensure the HR model remains flexible and customer-sensing.
