Location: Johns Creek (Greater Atlanta), GA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Approximately 3 Days Onsite per Week

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle ADF Modernization Lead with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle ADF, Java modernization, WebLogic, middleware migration, enterprise integrations, and application upgrades.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience modernizing enterprise-scale applications, particularly upgrading Oracle ADF from 12c to 14c and Java from JDK 8 to Java 21.

This role requires a strong development and modernization mindset—not a pure production support profile. The candidate should be comfortable working on complex enterprise applications, resolving integration issues, performing regression testing, and supporting mission-critical HR or financial applications.

2. Java Modernization Expertise

Key Responsibilities

• Lead modernization and upgrade initiatives for enterprise Oracle ADF applications.
• Upgrade applications from ADF 12c to ADF 14c.
• Modernize enterprise Java applications from JDK 8 to Java 21.
• Perform code remediation related to deprecated APIs and Java framework changes.
• Manage javax to jakarta migration and related dependency updates.
• Upgrade and troubleshoot WebLogic deployments and middleware components.
• Perform JVM tuning and application performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot SSL/TLS compatibility and enterprise web service issues.
• Upgrade and validate REST and SOAP integrations.
• Support Jersey framework migration and related dependency remediation.
• Troubleshoot SFTP/SSH integrations and enterprise middleware components.
• Work with Quartz Scheduler, MyBatis, and other application dependencies.
• Support OCI-based application deployments.
• Develop and execute regression and integration testing strategies.
• Perform performance benchmarking and identify application bottlenecks.
• Resolve UAT defects and production issues.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams, business stakeholders, and infrastructure teams.
• Provide technical leadership throughout application modernization and migration initiatives.
• Support mission-critical HR and financial applications in a hybrid enterprise environment.
