Key Responsibilities
Cutover Strategy Planning
Define, develop, and manage the overall cutover strategy, including timelines, roles, responsibilities, and readiness criteria.
Prepare the cutover plan, ensuring alignment with all technical and functional workstreams.
Develop detailed task lists, dependency maps, and execution checklists for each phase of the cutover.
Mock Cutover Execution
Coordinate, lead, and execute mock cutovers to validate the readiness of processes, teams, and environments.
Identify gaps, issues, and risks during mock cycles and drive mitigation actions.
Capture learnings and refine the cutover plan to ensure a flawless production transition.
Cutover Readiness Governance
Govern readiness across all workstreams including data migration, integrations, infrastructure, applications, and business functions.
Ensure all readiness criteria (data, environments, access, checkpoints) are met prior to cutover.
Facilitate readiness reviews, checkpoints, and sign offs with partners, SMEs, and stakeholders.
Dependency Sequencing Management
Identify and manage dependencies across technical, functional, and business teams.
Define and validate the appropriate cutover sequence, ensuring tasks are executed in the correct order.
Ensure alignment between multiple partners, vendors, and cross functional teams.
Execution During UAT, Blackout Go Live
Act as the central command point during UAT cutover, blackout, and go live weekends.
Monitor task execution in real time, escalate issues, and drive corrective actions.
Ensure all teams adhere to defined timelines, checkpoints, and quality expectations.
Coordinate with support teams for post go live stabilization and hypercare activities.
Risk, Issue Communication Management
Identify risks and bottlenecks in advance and drive proactive mitigation strategies.
Manage real time issue triage during cutover execution.
Provide structured, timely updates to program leadership and stakeholders.
Maintain full documentation of cutover activities, decisions, and outcomes.
Required Skills Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field.
8-12 years of experience in Cutover Management, Program/Project Management, or large scale transformation initiatives.
Proven experience managing cutovers in enterprise systems (ERP, HCM, SCM, cloud platforms, etc.).
Strong understanding of data migration, environment management, deployments, and IT release cycles.
Excellent planning, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong communication, documentation, and problem solving abilities.
Experience working in multi vendor, multi track delivery environments.
