Location: Mount Laurel, NJ (Relocation is allowed)
Employment Type: Contract (C2C)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in API development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and integrating RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot in a microservices environment. Candidates must be local to New Jersey or New York and must possess a valid NJ or NY Driver's License.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based applications.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
  • Build and support microservices-based applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Integrate applications with databases, third-party services, and enterprise systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Perform unit testing, code reviews, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality software.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Support application deployments and production issue resolution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Java application development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
  • Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.
  • Experience with Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security).
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with Git and Maven/Gradle.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
