Job Summary
UST is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer (Playwright) with strong expertise in UI automation, API testing, SQL, and end-to-end quality engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing scalable automation frameworks, validating enterprise applications, and working closely with Agile development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright automation.
- Strong experience in UI Automation Testing.
- Experience with API Testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
- Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries and validating backend data.
- Experience testing Stored Procedures and database validations.
- Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Azure SQL / T-SQL experience.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Knowledge of test reporting and defect management tools.
- Experience working with packaged enterprise applications.
- Exposure to continuous testing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Playwright automation frameworks.
- Create and execute automated and manual test cases for UI, API, and backend validation.
- Collaborate with developers and business teams to understand requirements and define testing strategies.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate APIs, databases, and stored procedures using SQL.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
- Prepare test plans, test cases, RTM, execution reports, and defect summaries.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend preventive measures.
- Ensure maximum automation coverage and improve QA processes.
- Participate in sprint planning, grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support continuous integration and continuous testing initiatives.
- Monitor quality metrics and ensure timely delivery of testing activities.
