Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in the Healthcare industry to join our growing data team in New York. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data platforms and data
pipelines using Databricks, Snowflake, and MicroStrategy.
This role requires a hands-on technical expert who can work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and analytics teams to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10–12+ years of experience
in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Analytics.
- Strong
Healthcare domain experience, including exposure to healthcare data models, claims, provider, member, clinical, or patient data.
- Hands-on expertise with
Databricks for data processing, ETL/ELT development, and data engineering solutions.
- Strong experience with
Snowflake architecture, administration, performance tuning, and data modeling.
- Experience with
MicroStrategy for reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions.
- Advanced SQL development
and query optimization skills.
- Strong experience with data integration, data transformation, and large-scale data migration projects.
- Experience building and maintaining scalable data pipelines using modern cloud technologies.
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA and data governance best practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
- Build scalable and high-performance data solutions using Databricks and Snowflake.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for healthcare data ingestion and transformation.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
- Create and maintain MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and semantic layers.
- Implement data quality, validation, and governance processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization across data platforms.
- Support data migration, modernization, and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory requirements and data security standards.
- Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to best practices across the data engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of Spark, Python, PySpark, and modern data engineering frameworks.
- Experience with healthcare analytics, population health, care management, or claims processing systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data engineering.
- Snowflake and Databricks certifications are highly preferred.
