🏥 Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Healthcare Data Analyst to support data integrity, validation, and reporting within an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This role will focus on identifying and correcting data discrepancies, ensuring billing compliance, and improving data entry workflows.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with EHR systems (preferably Mylnsight/Netsmart), strong SQL skills, and a solid understanding of healthcare billing and coding practices.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

Front Desk Data Validation & Correction

• Utilize SQL queries and reporting tools to identify and correct front desk data entry errors
• Perform routine audits on:
  • Benefit assignments (end-date accuracy, correct mapping)
  • Insurance relationships (ensure proper “Self” designation)
  • Patient checkout status and apply corrective actions

Clinical Data Integrity

• Analyze service records for completeness, accuracy, and billing compliance
• Identify and resolve:
  • Missing office and lab visits in required program services
  • Billable services missing appropriate E/M or office visit codes
  • Diagnoses without associated E/M codes
  • Missing vaccination administration fees for insured patients
  • Incorrect service entry points or improperly logged events
• Document current data entry workflows and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Duplicate Record Management

• Identify and merge duplicate patient records
• Ensure data consistency across the EHR system for accurate reporting and billing

✅ Required Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 2+ years of experience working with EHR systems
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and reporting
• Experience with healthcare data auditing, validation, and cleanup
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Mylnsight (Netsmart) or similar EHR platforms
• Knowledge of healthcare billing processes (Medicaid, Medicare, Private Insurance)
• Familiarity with ICD, CPT, and E/M coding standards
• Experience in public health or clinical environments
