Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Architect with deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to design and deliver domain-driven microservices for customer-facing digital platforms. This is a highly technical leadership role requiring approximately 70% hands-on coding and 30% team leadership and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and build scalable, domain-driven microservices using Node.js, TypeScript, Express, Fastify, or NestJS.
• Architect greenfield applications, including service boundaries, data models, REST APIs, event-driven systems, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and deployment topology.
• Establish API standards including versioning, OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, pagination, error handling, resiliency patterns, and security best practices.
• Lead production readiness activities, incident triage, root cause analysis (RCA), monitoring, alerting, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Collaborate with web, mobile, data, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integrations and successful releases.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, pair programming, engineering best practices, and architectural guidance.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans effectively with leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions while anticipating future business and technical requirements.
Required Skills:
• 9+ years of backend engineering experience.
• 4+ years of technical leadership experience.
• Expert-level experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong hands-on experience building domain-driven microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Deep understanding of DDD concepts, microservices patterns, Saga, Outbox, Circuit Breaker, and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and securing REST APIs using OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, TLS, and related security standards.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, cloud-native deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and observability frameworks.
• Proven experience leading production support, incident management, and root cause analysis activities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
