Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Engineer with strong backend development expertise to build and maintain scalable, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Java, Apache Kafka, and Cassandra, with a strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based backend services and APIs
• Build and support event-driven microservices using Apache Kafka
• Design, implement, and optimize Cassandra data models for scalability and performance
• Ensure systems are designed for high availability, fault tolerance, and low latency
• Develop unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning activities
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Product teams in an Agile environment
• Support deployment, monitoring, and production issue resolution activities

Required Skills & Experience

• 6–9 years of experience in Java backend development
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka
• Experience designing and managing Cassandra databases
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and performance optimization
• Experience with REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) is a plus
• Exposure to container technologies such as Docker / Kubernetes
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools
