Drives cloud infrastructure automation, balances system reliability with deployment speed, and mentors engineering teams. They are responsible for building scalable CI/CD pipelines, driving Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
· Infrastructure & Automation: Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient GCP cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
· CI/CD & Deployments: Architect and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to accelerate software delivery. Hands on Github, Github actions
· Site Reliability & Observability: Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and tracing using tools like Google Cloud Operations, Prometheus, and Grafana to maximize system uptime and performance.
· Leadership & Strategy: Mentor junior and mid-level DevOps engineers, establish SRE best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical strategy.
· Security & Governance: Bootstrap Google Cloud organizations, manage Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM), and ensure compliance across deployment pipelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Core GCP Services: Deep, hands-on expertise with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, VPCs, and Cloud SQL.
· DevOps Tooling: High proficiency in configuration management and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
· Scripting & Languages: Strong coding skills in languages like Python, Go, or Bash to automate infrastructure and workflows.
· Hands on experience on IaC tools as Terrrafrm
· Experience: Typically 7+ years in cloud engineering or DevOps, with hands-on delivery of atleast 3/4 Projects using GCP DevOps
