Location: Hartford, CT/Remote
Duration: 6 months
Experience: 12+ Years
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mainframe applications using:
- COBOL
- JCL
- CICS
- VSAM
- IBM mainframe systems.
- Perform end-to-end development in COBOL on z/OS.
- Utilize AI Copilot tools to assist with COBOL code documentation and modernization efforts.
- Support and enhance existing mainframe applications while ensuring system stability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project and operational requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience with IBM mainframe application development.
- Hands-on expertise in:
- COBOL
- JCL
- CICS
- VSAM
- Experience working with DB2, including associated daemon processes.
- Exposure to or experience with the Unisys platform.
- Familiarity with using AI-powered tools (Copilot) in a mainframe development context.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Essential Skills
- Mainframe development using AI Copilot.
- COBOL-based application enhancement and documentation.
