Key Requirements

• Exposure to migration of large-scale Mainframe applications to distributed systems.
• Experience utilizing AI solutions/tools during modernization and migration initiatives.
• Strong experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale Mainframe database applications.
• Experience working in distributed development environments.
• Hands-on expertise with COBOL programming and databases including IMS, DB2, VSAM, and/or IDMS.
• Experience with CICS and IBM Assembler is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement applications for large-scale Mainframe database environments.
• Convert business requirements into technical solutions using COBOL and Mainframe technologies.
• Participate in business value assessments and requirements gathering sessions.
• Perform detailed design activities for workflows, business rules, user interfaces, and reports.
• Coordinate unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution activities.
• Develop and maintain database applications while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Support maintenance and enhancement of existing applications.
• Collaborate with end users for design, implementation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Work closely with product management, development, and testing teams throughout the SDLC.

Preferred Experience

• Mainframe to Distributed Systems modernization projects.
• AI-assisted code conversion, analysis, or migration tools.
• Financial Services or Banking domain experience.
