I'm not sure if this is a good place to ask, but I have an RT Dicom file where I wish to be able to retrieve a single tag.

Unfortunately the parsedicom javascript library doesn't appear to support rt dicom. I imagine I may have to do the parsing myself. I'm hoping someone might have some pointers for me.

Cheers,
Simon

I know of no standard comforming DICOM P10 file that dicomParser cannot parse.  Why do you believe it cannot?  Try dumping the file here:

And if your tag shows up, dicomParser parsed it

BTW - I dropped the sample file you sent me and it says the file is not DICOM P10:

Status: Error - dicomParser.readPart10Header: DICM prefix not found at location 132 - this is not a valid DICOM P10 file. (file of size 2 KB )
Most likely this file is a raw implicit little endian byte stream dump which many programs are able to read but is not actually a DICOM standard file.  There are ways to read such files using dicomParser but it requires that you call some internal functions and there is no example that shows how to do this yet (it is on my list, just haven't had time).
