Hi there,

I successfully ported Cornerstone to the TF300 running Android 4.1.1 (wasn't built from source) and to this point I basically have everything working well except for 2 things.

1) No matter what I try, I can't get wallpapers to display.  I can get into the app chooser, and tell it to set a wallpaper, I can even preview regular wallpapers, photo wallpapers, live wallpapers but whenever I select them to add them, it tells me it is loading and then nothing happens, still a black screen.  Icons on the homescreen work, widgets work, folders work, its just the wallpapers.

2) When I want to pair with a bluetooth device that requires a pin, the popup to enter the pin or accept the pin never shows up, so the device "waits" to connect until it times out.  I can connect to devices that do not require a pin (speakers for example, which work fine)

Any guidance with this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

FYI - Live wallpaper is already disabled in Cornerstone. We have already listed this as a known issue.

Regarding bluetooth issue, we didn't make any changes in the bluetooth implementation. In our official Motorola Xoom Wifi ROM, the bluetooth works fine. Not sure what would be the issue on your device.

Thanks,

Hey Sanjay, thanks for getting back to me.

It's not just the live wallpapers that don't display, it is any wallpaper.  Frankly I don't care about live wallpapers :P

Hi,

Yes, not only live wallpaper but setting any wallpaper in Cornerstone is disabled. You can check out the WindowManagerService.adjustWallpaperWindowsLocked() method where rendering wallpaper on screen implementation is commented.

I hope it answers your question.

Thanks,
Sanjay

Wow, that did answer my question!  Thanks!  I have the wallpaper working now but of course that introduced another problem (which could be why you disabled wallpaper lol!).

When on the homescreen, the cornerstone app is still active, but it isn't visible unless I press on something in the window.  When in the app drawer on the main window or when running an app in the main window the cornerstone panel shows up perfectly.  It's almost as if the focus of the wallpaper lies overtop of the cornerstone panel when on the homescreen.

Also do you by any chance know why it seems sometimes the background services die when cornerstone is running?  For example sometimes when cornerstone is launched or has been running the clock and battery meter stop updating until a reboot occurs.
