My gmail woes

More on the issue I tweeted @cornerhost about:  GMail started giving me the following error when it tried to pop my email:

Authentication error. 
Server returned error "Plaintext authentication disallowed on non-secure (SSL/TLS) connections."

When I switch to SSL, it complains about a self-signed certificate.  Apparently there's some setting to allow plaintext that I'm guessing didn't make it to the new server:

P.S. I found Alpine on the new server, so I'm all set for the moment.
