Dear fellow human rights advocates,

You are receiving this email because you have signed previous petitions started by Better Life for Egypt and have opted in to receiving emails and updates from us.

Last Thursday, Egyptian President Morsy made a decree that gives him power over the Egyptian judiciary and does not allow anyone to question his decisions. This gives him authority over the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of Egyptian government - dictatorial powers that not even Mubarak had. Now, there are thousands of Egyptians in Tahrir Square and other parts of Egypt facing tear gas, police and thug violence while protesting these decisions. Two youth have already died in the clashes. Meanwhile, Morsi has been mobilizing Muslim Brotherhood sympathizers here in the USA to petition the White House, State Department, and Congress to say that Egypt needs these dictatorial measures!

Please sign and share this petition broadly with your networks to counteract this fierce campaign by the Muslim Brotherhood and to stand in solidarity with all the Egyptians that want a free, fair and inclusive Egypt:
