I've even sent myself emails with project links and they don't have an option anywhere to cut them out, only to print and the bottom says "exclusive" when all my images are my own and I don't use any of cricuts files

If your Cricut does not seem to be cutting any material, and you have already tried the options listed here, or if it is only cutting half of the design you might wan tto check the bearing to see if it has dropped. If you need an example of what this would look like you can see what another Cricut owner did HERE.

The bad news is that there is not always a Cricut Design Space fix for every issue. Sometimes there is just a computer software glitch that happens. I feel like the two most current items fall into that category. What you can do is to contact Cricut Support and let them know about the issues. The more people that report issues with the software typically will make fixing the issue a higher priority.

One of the current known issues is that when working with the Explore Air 2, when you go to choose your material on the desktop version of Design Space, the Browse All Materials to get to your custom settings is not showing up. It does seem to be working and available when you are working from the Design Space app on your phone. So my Cricut Design Space fix for this issue is that if you design the project on the computer, save it to the cloud and then cut it from your phone.

The Print then Cut feature is also having some issues. Many users are reporting that their cuts are off and there is white showing around their designs even when they leave the bleed on. I do have a full page devoted just to Print then Cut troubleshooting HERE, but that article focuses more on mistakes that Cricut owners make that impact their Print then Cut projects. This current issue seems to be more with the so software, since users are reporting that they have re-calibrated their machine but the cuts are still off. This would be one of those times when I would have to say that there is not a Cricut Design Space fix for this issue.

Have you played with the new Warp Text feature in Cricut Design Space? Some users have found that it will create the warp look in Design Space, but when you click Make It to actually cut out the design, it cuts the letters out in a straight line. Currently there is no fix for this from Cricut. I did spend some time playing around with something, and I did figure out a work around. I did a video for it HERE.

If you are uploading images on your Cricut Design Space app for iOS systems, and when you use the Remove button it removes the entire design or turns the whole thing black there is a fix! Delete the app and go to the App Store and reinstall the app.

Another change with the most recent update is that along with the Rotate button you might have noticed that the Lock/Unlock icon that used to be in the lower left corner of any design, text or shape is now gone. The only way to unlock and distort things now is to use the padlock icon at the top of the screen, by the Size section.

Another thing that I personally noticed with this latest update is that my Design Space on my computer can no longer find the bluetooth connection or the USB cable that I have running from my Cricut to the computer.

For me, that means I am creating my projects on the computer, saving them to the cloud and then cutting them from my phone. This is not ideal, but right now it is the only option I can find so that I can actually cut with my Cricut.

If you are getting a white screen with version V 6.6.134 of Cricut Design Space the fix for that is to force an update of Cricut Design Space. You can do this on the computer by going to the upper left hand corner of the screen and clicking on the word View and then selected Force Reload, like I show in the image below.

If you are experiencing problems with the new Offset feature, remember it is still in the beta testing stages. Also, it is only available on the computer version of Design Space and you have to have the correct computer system requirements.

Another offset fix you can try is to right click on the Cricut Design Space application icon on your computer. This brings up a list of choices. Click on Properties at the bottom of the list. A new window will pop up that looks like the image below.

Any fonts that you downloaded and installed from sites like DaFont are installed on the device you are working with, whether that is your computer, iPad or phone. They are a part of that operating system and are not stored in Design Space. This is why they show up under System Fonts when you open Design Space.

In Cricut Design Space next to fonts and images you may have seen an option that says Download. If you have downloaded an image or a font in this manner, you will not lose it. Cricut Design Space is a program and when you download images or fonts they are not saved to your computer. Downloading them just makes them available for you to access if you are working with Design Space offline.

Here is a great example of working with Cricut Design Space offline. Pretend you are going on a long trip and will not have internet connect while traveling, maybe while you are on the airplane. If you download all of the images and fonts you know you will need for designing a project before getting on the plane, you will be able to use them to create projects while you are on the plane.

What about saved projects, will I lose those? Once again, the answer is no. Your saved projects are also saved to the cloud so they are nice and safe on the Cricut server. If you go into Settings, you can bypass this. You would have to change the default settings to computer only. So unless you know you have done that, you are safe and you will not lose your projects.

For years I have been saying that I can fix or resolve about 95% of the issues that people have with their Cricut not working correctly. The only Cricut Design Space fix I have not had an answer to or been able to resolve is when the software is the issue, which it seems for me is the current problem. I will still be able to teach you to design things and use your Cricut, but I personally will be cutting things with my Solo going forward. If you want to learn more about using the Solo as an alternative to the Cricut you can click HERE.

Since sometimes problems come out after an update the first Cricut Design Space fix you should try is switching the canvas style from New to Classic. If you do not know how to find that setting, let me show you. First on the computer version of Design Space go to the three little lines in the upper left corner. When you click on those lines it opens up a new list of choices for you. Go down to Settings. See the image below

I use ipad with my cricut. I never had any issues but immediately after the last update I could no longer cut thru my stickers. I changed the blade changed the pressure and tried different materials to no avail It was work9ng perfectly the night before the update. Do you think its related? Ive been looking everywherefor info for days. Thank you!

Cricut techies concur that there is a record of my font purchases, but I do not have access to them on my computer. Can anyone else access Disney Princess Tangled, All Mixed Up, or 3-D Pokadot Pumpkin fonts in the Cricut Design Space?

I have not been able to fix the highlighting unfortunately. I spent 4-5 hrs on the phone with them. Ugh.
However, I saw something someone had said that I might be able to help with. If you find that your computer is not connecting to the Cricut via Bluetooth, I found what fixed mine. An update had seemed to turn off my Bluetooth in my settings. Just an FYI that I hope helps someone.

A very huge thank you I have been BLUE all day until your idea to try to cut my project with my iPhone versus my MacBook Air. I have been ruining expensive writing vinyl because the Joy stops cutting or drawing mid go with no warning and the bluetooth stops being connected. I have yet to complete one joy project where it all worked. I have used vinyl and even one full pen playing around with this bluetooth issue. I was ready to throw the joy away!! I prefer to use my computer like you do so this is a work around but frustrating for sure.

From there, go into the Silhouette America folder, and then into the Silhouette Studio folder. This is where I found Silhouette Studio on my PC; the location of that EXE file on your computer may be different.

I am not sure if there is something I am doing wrong or if its just the cricut app doing something funky (which always seems to be the problem). I am new to Affinity and graphic design applications in general just an FYI. I created a design for a logo for myself in Affinity Photo. Ive taken off all effects and completely simplified the design for easy transfer into design space. But for some reason when it transfers over it takes only part of the image and distorts another part of the image. Is there anything that I can do to prevent this? Not even sure why the yoga pose silhouette won't even transfer.

The good news is, within the app itself, almost nothing is changing. There is one great new feature though: With Design Space for Desktop, you can now design and cut offline! (You will still need an internet connection to download the app the first time, and to use some of the features, like downloading images from Cricut Access.)

Cricut decided to switch to a Desktop app because there are several browsers now that do not support the online version and to have the ability to roll out new features in the future that may not be supported by web browsers. However, just like there were browser requirements for the online version, there are system requirements that your computer must meet to run the desktop version.

Cricut Design Space for Desktop does NOT work if you have a Chromebook or a Unix/Linux computer. If you have one of these computers, continue to the next section to find out how to continue using your Cricut without buying a new computer.
