Summary
In this role, you will serve as a senior technical expert within Vizient's Intelligent Automation function. You will design, build, optimize, and support enterprise automation solutions primarily using UiPath, while leveraging Microsoft Power Platform and emerging AI capabilities where appropriate.
You will partner with the Lead AI Automation Engineer on solution architecture and delivery, contribute to AS IS assessments and transformation initiatives, mentor other engineers, and work directly with business and technology stakeholders. Success in this role is measured by the quality, reliability, scalability, and business value of the solutions you engineer.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support complex enterprise automation solutions using UiPath and related technologies.
Build reusable frameworks, components, integrations, templates, and engineering accelerators.
Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, maintainable, and supportable technical solutions.
Contribute to solution architecture, technical estimates, design reviews, code reviews, and production readiness assessments.
Troubleshoot complex automation, integration, performance, and production issues.
Evaluate and implement advanced capabilities such as Agentic Automation, AI Agents, Intelligent Document Processing, Process Mining, and Generative AI.
Contribute to current-state assessments, platform optimization, engineering standards, and automation transformation initiatives.
Mentor engineers through technical coaching, knowledge sharing, and hands-on support.
Build trusted relationships with business partners, architects, product owners, and engineering teams.
Qualifications
Relevant degree preferred.
8+ years of enterprise automation, software engineering, or platform engineering experience.
5+ years of strong hands-on UiPath engineering experience.
Proven experience building, scaling, and supporting enterprise automation solutions.
Experience integrating automation solutions with APIs, databases, cloud services, enterprise applications, and AI services.
Experience mentoring engineers and communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving, consulting, communication, and ownership skills.
Ability and willingness to work onsite in Vizient's Irving, Texas office.
Technical Skills & Technologies
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience across many of the following areas:
Enterprise Intelligent Automation: UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform, enterprise RPA platforms
AI-Enabled Automation: Agentic AI, AI Agents, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, Intelligent Document Processing, Process Mining
Software Engineering & Integration: Python, C#, .NET, REST APIs, SQL, Git, CI/CD, enterprise integration
Cloud & Platform Services: Microsoft Azure, Azure OpenAI, Azure DevOps, cloud-native services
Engineering Practices: Solution design, automation frameworks, SDLC, Agile, DevSecOps, observability, production support
Preferred Experience
UiPath Advanced Developer or related certifications.
Experience supporting an enterprise Automation Center of Excellence.
Healthcare or other regulated industry experience.
