Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer with strong expertise in client computing and collaboration technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering, supporting, and enhancing enterprise technology solutions across complex infrastructure environments. This role requires a balance of production support, systems design, implementation, lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration.

The candidate should possess deep technical knowledge, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions while adhering to organizational standards and best practices.


Required Skills

  • Strong experience in delivering and supporting enterprise technology solutions related to client computing and collaboration platforms
  • Proven ability to identify, design, and implement technology and process improvements aligned with business objectives
  • Deep technical expertise with the capability to architect and deploy solutions in complex infrastructure environments
  • Hands-on experience with incident management, troubleshooting, and proactive patching of hardware and software systems
  • Ability to collaborate and consult with other Systems Engineers on solution design, implementation strategies, and operational support
  • Strong capability to balance operational support responsibilities with engineering and implementation initiatives
  • Up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and infrastructure best practices
  • Strong commitment to organizational standards, governance, and operational excellence

Key Responsibilities

Production Support

  • Provide 24x7 global support for critical enterprise systems through a rotating on-call support model
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex incident resolution using established operational procedures and remediation guidelines
  • Lead incident investigations and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring or critical issues
  • Support and troubleshoot provisioning scripts, including consultation on fulfillment and automation methodologies
  • Coordinate with external vendors to resolve advanced technical incidents within the supported domain

Systems Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Maintain and enhance knowledge base articles and support documentation, including WIKI updates for newly identified processes
  • Perform system troubleshooting, audits, and health monitoring using custom scripts and performance monitoring tools
  • Contribute to the creation of user guides, operational documentation, job aids, and internal team training materials

Systems Lifecycle Management

  • Assist with planning, testing, validation, and execution of OS, firmware, and software patching activities
  • Support hardware replacement coordination and infrastructure upgrade initiatives
  • Provide guidance on bug fixes, security updates, and critical remediation activities, including implementation support

KPI Reporting & Analysis

  • Support collection and analysis of operational metrics and KPI reporting under guidance from senior leadership
  • Assist in identifying recurring issues and prioritizing remediation efforts to improve service stability
  • Generate ad-hoc reports and perform trend analysis related to recurring incidents and operational performance

Collaboration & Service Management

  • Partner with cross-functional technical teams to support, maintain, and resolve complex enterprise IT services
  • Participate in troubleshooting and remediation of cross-domain infrastructure and operational issues

Technical Service Ownership

  • Act as a technical escalation point for performance-related issues, outages, and infrastructure incidents
  • Proactively identify potential problems and drive remediation efforts to improve system reliability and service availability
