We’re hiring nine contract developers to support a major cloud and database modernization project. This is a remote, project-based role with mandatory travel to Dallas for one week at a time, several times a year (expenses paid).
You’ll join a small, standalone team migrating a high-scale SQL system to AWS DynamoDB, rewriting services from Java to Python, and integrating Amazon Q and DMS tooling. We’re hiring for an immediate start, with 2 team members ideally in place by early August.

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Backend Application Developer
with strong experience in Golang and containerized applications. The ideal
candidate will have hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker, along
with a solid understanding of deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting in
cloud-native environments.
This role sits within the development team and focuses on building backend software while also collaborating with Customer Support to resolve installation issues, fix bugs, and improve the overall deployment experience.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain backend applications primarily using Golang.
· Package applications into Docker containers and deploy them in Kubernetes environments.
· Work with Kubernetes secrets, config maps, volume mounts, and Helm charts to ensure smooth deployments.
· Collaborate with Customer Support to troubleshoot installation and configuration issues.
· Diagnose and resolve bugs in backend applications and deployment workflows.
· Gather feedback and requirements from support/customer interactions to improve the setup and configuration experience.
· Contribute to continuous improvement of CI/CD and deployment automation processes.
Required Skills & Experience
· 3+ years of professional backend development experience (preferably in Golang).
· Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker containerization.
· Hands-on experience with Kubernetes secrets, configuration maps, and volume mounts.
· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
· Problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex installation and runtime issues.
· Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams (Development, DevOps, Customer Support).
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
· Background in 3GPP standards or telecom systems (a plus but not mandatory).
· Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Notes: Backend application developer, but that they have Kubernetes and Helm experience. Ansible experience is also a big plus.
This role is for someone who works in the development team to help build our software. Our backend software is written in Golang, is packaged as Docker containers and runs in a Kubernetes environment. Knowledge of Kubernetes secrets, configuration maps and volume mounts are all important things needed to be successful in the role.
In addition to the software development, this role also includes working with our Customer Support staff to assist when they have installation troubles. We are looking for someone who can diagnose issue and fix bugs. I would look for this person to be able to bring requirements back into the group on how to improve the whole setup / configuration experience.
3GPP experience is a plus but not a strict requirement.
