etcdserver: mvcc: database space exceeded

Hi all

Im on version 3.17 of etcd and im getting this error :'etcdserver: mvcc: database space exceeded"

any ideas on how to deal with this?

I have tried following this guide - https://github.com/coreos/etcd/blob/master/Documentation/op-guide/maintenance.md but the "compact" argument doesnt seem to exist for the etcdctl command?

You may need to set the API version env var, like this:

$ ETCDCTL_API=3 etcdctl compact 6
