Hi,

I am unable to start etcd2 on CoreOS. I have one VirtualBox VM with CoreOS on it. When I do

/usr/bin/etcd2 -addr 10.20.20.109:4001 -peer-addr 10.20.20.109:7001 -discovery=<uuid> -data-dir=/home/knodir/etcd -name=naur

I get following error message:

2015/06/21 17:00:48 etcd: listening for peers on http://[::]:7001
2015/06/21 17:00:48 etcd: listening for client requests on http://[::]:4001
2015/06/21 17:00:48 etcdserver: datadir is valid for the 2.0.1 format
2015/06/21 17:00:48 etcd: stopping listening for client requests on http://[::]:4001
2015/06/21 17:00:48 etcd: stopping listening for peers on http://[::]:7001
2015/06/21 17:00:48 etcd: unsupported protocol scheme ""

Is there any reason why etcd2 is not picking up my IP 10.20.20.109?

Thanks,

- Nodir

I'm answering this question by myself, as I got the issue resolved.

It was etcd2 service file config issue; solved here https://github.com/coreos/etcd/issues/3028
