not able to create mkdir in /usr/local/bin directory

Hi ,
   I am not able to create any directory inside /usr/local in coreOS...error shows like chmod: changing permissions of '/usr': Read-only file system
can you please guide to resolve this problam



error i am facing :

wget http://storage.googleapis.com/kubernetes/kubecfg -O /usr/local/bin/kubecfg
i am not able to execute above command

You can't write to /usr, its read only and its intentional.

Try to follow coreos-kubernetes howto from coreos blog - https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/kubernetes/blob/master/docs/getting-started-guides/coreos.md

Here are some instructions which should be more up-to-date than the more official ones floating around.

I'm hoping to get a chance to update them this week to make the build step optional.
