WordPerfect 12 takes a minute to load

this is such a bloated program. It takes about a minute for it to load
the first time AND another minute to open any document even when the
program is already open. This is on my Dell Dimension new laptop; it
has plenty of memory and RAM to run this. I've reinstalled WP 11 which
takes 11 seconds, but the documents I wrote in WP12 can't be read in WP
11 or course. I've deleted any extraneous printers/faxes and
downloaded and installed the patches. Nothing helps. Any new ideas?
