Date- and timeformatting is a weak point in Quattro Pro (as compared
to f.i. Excel), but you can avoid an unpermitted change of a date
by using the date-function (pressing the @-button and
in the appearing dialog choosing in the left window "date"
and in the right window "date" and filling in the year, month and day).
When you type in a date directly Quattro sometimes takes the separators
as calculation-operators, so in your case dividing the daynumber
by the monthnumber and then again by the yearnumber, and
then translating the resulting number to a date
(which is different from the one you wanted).
