I have just switched from using excel to quattro pro 9. What extension
do I give a spreadsheet template? If there isn't an extension, how do
I recognize that spreedsheet as being a template? Thank you.

You should have some packaged templates within the installed program. touch
File
New
QuatroPro
select any template
try saving it
if it saves under the same extension then you have your answer
just start the name of a template file with the word template.
then you can spot them when you sort by name.
