WordPerfect Drop down menus will not drop

In WP 9,10, 11 and 12, on my machine, all have the same problem: the
drop downs for Justification, drop cap style, font color and symbols
will not drop down. They will just flicker and are gone. By clicking
over and over and over, they will eventually stay...but they may
disappear before a choice can be made. Had this problem with another
computer. The only thing in common is the same type video card, an ATI
7000 chip. Of course I suspect the card to be the problem. But, I hate
to go to the trouble of buying/installing a new card just to find out
that is not the problem.

Meanwhile I'm using Word but prefer Word Perfect. Anyone have any
