wordperfect 10 snafus galore

I am having heretofore unexperienced prblems with Wordperfect 10
1. All documetns now appear reduced, set in the middle of the page
with gray margins on either side.
2. Often when I backspace and hit a 'letter' key, I get an icon
instead.
3. The upper horizontal toolbar has disappeared.
4. One of my documents has a left hand column of icons running
throughout the document.
I am staying at a hotel, refsue to cough up 99.oo to Micheal Dell for
his 'support' and need to work on these Wordperfect documents tonight.
Suggestions?
