Wordperfect 8 crashes after user completes spell check

I can't seem to figure this out. I have a user that can run spell
check in WP8, but when it finishes, and asks him if he wants to
complete it, the application crashes (and gives the send error report
deal). He's using WP8 legal edition in windows XP.

I have uninstalled, wiped the corel and borland registry settings, and
reinstalled, and have had no luck. The problem remains. Does anyone
have any ideas?
