Am unable to install WPSuite8 Upgrade (CD Version) on my new Micron laptop which has Win98 operating system.Monitor displays message saying Windows messaging files need uptdating, then asks whether to overwrite C:/windows/temp/setup.exe file. Clicking No ends install process abruptly; clicking Yes ends install process after brief flurry of activity on hard drive. Is this a Win98 problem, or a WP Suite8 problem? Is WPSuite 8 incompatible w/Win98?

Second, there have been many messages posted here resolving this
problem. Here is my version:
If you are running Netscape, go into Netscape, Edit/Preferences, Mail &
Newsgroups, and UNCHECK the box for "use messenger as default from
MAPI-compliant applications" or similar, then reboot. Now try to install
WP8 Suite.
The next simplest choice is to search your Win98 CD and find the 2 files
WMS.EXE and run the appropriate one (ie US or International). This
installs Windows Messaging.
Alternatively if you do not wish to install Windows Messaging in full:
For Win95, copy MAPWIN95.DLL from the CD into the \Windows\System
folder, rename MAPI32.DLL to MAPI32.BUF, then Rename MAPWIN95.DLL to
MAPI32.DLL. Finally re-run the WP8 Suite setup from the CD. For Win98
and WinNT, use MAPNT40.DLL from the WPWin8 CD (not MAPWIN95.DLL).
Now reboot and install WP8 Suite.
