Hi there,

I am using WordPerfect 6.1 and would like to know if someone can help me
with the following problem:

When I type (c) WordPerfect changes it to the copyright sign. Same also
happens when I type 1/2 it changes to the half sign. If I press undo
and continue typing when I do a spell check WordPerfect changes it back
to the copyright sign and the half sign.

Does anyone know where I go to undo this automatic command?

It would be appreciated if someone can get back to me.

Thanks,
Christa

"Autotext" is a Microsoft Word. What we have here is the WordPerfect
equivalent called QuickCorrect. You turn that off via Tools, QuickCorrect
and uncheck the box for Replace Words As You Type.

However, rather than disable the entire feature, you might consider
editing/deleting the correction pairs that irritate you. For example, I
have removed the (c) to Copyright but added (c to Copyright so I still have
a shortcut but it does not affect list items such as (c) or c).
