missing footnotes

A friend of me is using WP7.
He had made a large document with footnotes and now he isn't longer able
to see them on screen. When he prints there are also no footnotes. The
numbers are seen in the text. What happened? Is there a way of restoring
this?

Are you *sure* they don't print? (I'm always worried when someone is
passing along a message from a friend instead of having the info
directly.)
Try View, Page instead of View, Draft.
