Spell Check Stops

While running VP 5.00 G1 recently, the Spell Check facility decided to
stop working. You can access the dialog box and tell it to check the
document, but it always comes back and says "Spell Check Complete," even
though I know there are misspelled words in the chapter. This forces me
to use a word processor for this function, which is a hassle. Any ideas
on what could have become corrupted?

The only possible solutions I can think of are:

1. Check your user dictionary to make sure you didn't get the misspellings in
there.

2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling V5.

will not have the 5.00 G1 version I have now. I don't have the update file for G1

G1 was available only on CD. So if you have G1, you should have the CD.

What version do you have? If you have F1, F2, or F5, you can download patches to
G1.

Updates from F1 or F2 to F5 can be downloaded from:

http://www.corel.com/support/ftpsite/pub/ventura/ventura5/index.htm

F5 is the same as G1 except one file, CDRGFX50.DLL. This file is available at
ftp://ftp.corel.com/pub/CorelDRAW/DRAW5Suite/CDRGFX.EXE.

CorelDraw +PhotoPaint + Ventura 5G1 was always available on CD from the
Corel Users Association to members with a registered copy of version 5 for a
handling charge ($25 I think for International).

Unfortunately the group ceases activities at the end of this month. I guess
you could always take out a 1 month membership and pay for the disk to be
shipped!
