I installed Ventura 4.2 under Windows 2000 three weeks ago and everything
worked fine. I even created a coule of new chapters.

Last week, I installed a couple of new programs, Microsoft SQLServer and
AutoCAD 2000. Now Ventura 4.2 won't start. Ventura does not crash; it just
doesn't do anything when I select the icon.

It appears that one of these programs did something to the operating
environment that Ventura doesn't like. I tried deleting and reinstalling
the program. No luck. I have put the working directory for
C:\COREL40\CORELVP into my system path. Again nothing.

Does anyone know of any system files that Ventura 4.2 needs to run that
might be overwritten by another program?

Intro:
I work in an IT group and one of the users wants to use Ventura 4.2.

The program will not run. No error message no nothing. Does anyone have any
clues?

Thanks,
Conrad

Oh.

Well, it seems to run here under Win2K but not well. And printing is often an adventure. As
usual, the best bet is to upgrade or run it under Win3.11 as it was intended.
