It's in the Programs folder on your V5 CD (Disk 1)

Hmmm. Mine has both!
1. What version is the CD?
2. Is it the standalone version of V5 or the Draw 5 CD?
3. Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling?

I could, but the wrong version of the file could easily do more harm than good.
Let's back up a minute.
1. Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling? This is probably your best bet
since it will ensure that you get a matching set of files.
2. What version is the CD? (Check the README.WRI file in the root directory of
the CD -- it should give the version number at the top of the file.)
3. Is it the standalone version of V5 or the Draw 5 CD?
Once I have the answers to these three questions, I can probably help sort
things out better.

2. The version is Corel VENTURA 5 (Revision F2) - Readme File (February
1995)
3. It is the stand alone version.
The program runs, but will not rename files to word 6 files without that
file, even with the patch.

Go to:
http://www.corel.com/support/ftpsite/pub/ventura/ventura5/index.htm
and get CV5FILT.EXE. That should restore the text filters. Als, make sure you
have CV5FCENG.EXE, which will update you to version F5 if you haven't already.
