BDE Interface mismatch: Engine version different.

To Support:

Paradox 9 worked fine at first after my upgrade from 4.5. But now I get
the following fatal error every time I launch Pdox9:

Could not initialize BDE.:
Interface mismatch. Engine version different.
--
I can still run 4.5, however.

What should I do?

Sounds like your IDAPI.CFG file is corrupted. Delete it and start
over with a new one?

You are using an old version of BDE or there are just a dll or two from an old
version of BDE in either your working directory, Windows or Windows/system
directory.

Search your hard drive for id*.dll
Any you find outside of the directory where BDE is installed check their
propertes. If it is a Borland DLL delete it.

Thanks anyway, but this and the other suggestion from Kasey didn't make
any difference. I reinstalled PDox 9 and then it worked.
