I am currently using Paradox 9, consumer version, and attempting to develop a
few small applications that suit my file needs, etc. I am very inexperienced
at developing anything. Though I know only a few basic things about code, I am
usually able to poke around and get what I need get some basic functionality
out of my Form designs, look-up tables, buttons properties, etc.

Would the larger Paradox 9 Developer's Pack be of any help to me, or would I
immediately be overwhelmed with a product that is way over my head?

Thanks!

Hi:

I have only used the Developer Pack, but I believe the only difference is that the DevEd comes with RunTime and related things. They may also though in some other stuff that is optional to install.

But, I believe all that you would get extra would be the right to give your apps in the runtime format to be ran on other machines.

In the normal edition, you are required to by a set of software for each machine you run the program on( else you are breaking the CopyRight).

The only reason to by DevEd in my opinion is if you forms are going to be ran on more that one machine.
